Pluripotent
January 2010
All too quickly, I am on a plane travelling across Australia at 6am on New Years Day to compete at Bay Criteriums and Road Nationals. How exactly did I get here? Over the last few months (and apologies for not having kept you updated), I have had a little bit of a rest (got quite productive at work and enjoyed some time with my family and friends) and starting some specific training. The time has come when I needed to make a decision as to what cycling discipline I would commit to, and in the end, the decision was pretty much made for me.
I have signed with Nashua (presented by ScannerVision) Women’s Cycling Team for 2010. Our team is based in South Africa and we have a jam packed racing calendar for the first half of the year. The other team riders are: Cherise Taylor, Milandi Cronje, Jeaun-mari Breytenbach, Charlotte van der Merwe, Liz Young (QLD, AUS), Jessie Maclean (ACT, AUS), Danielle Dalton, Monique Gerber and Heidi Dalton.
Until the team comes together in late January, I will be racing with the highly successful Brisbane-based MB Cycles
Women’s Team for Bay Criteriums, Road Nationals and Tour Down Under Criterium. I am looking forward to a fresh start to 2010 with some amazing racing experiences to come. I would like to thank Plan B Racing Team, whom I will remain affiliated with, as it is our WA State Team, for supporting my cycling progression.
